NORFOLK--Lydia R. McQuade, 91, of 137 River Road, died Saturday in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where she had been a patient since Feb. 5.

She was a homemaker.

Born Sept. 25, 1907, in Milton, Vt., a daughter of Herbert and Nettie Peterson Bemis, she married William McQuade on May 21, 1941.

She was a 32-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving besides her husband are Wayne Blanchard, Norfolk, whom she raised as her son; a sister, Juanita LaLonde, Lisbon; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

A private funeral will be at the convenience of the family. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Norfolk Volunteer RescueSquad.
