Eliza Forrest Oakes

 

(June 23, 1887-December 18, 1950)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Forrest Oakes, 63, who died at her home in North Main St., Norwood, at 6 p.m. Monday, will be held Thursday afternoon at St. Philips church with Rev. Frank Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Norwood.

Mrs. Oakes was born in Massena on June 23, 1887, the daughter of George and Martha Jandreau Connley.

She was first married to William Forrest who died in 1928. In 1932, she was married to Mr. Oakes who survives.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Duprey, Parishville; Mrs. Jay (Helen) Winney, Ogdensburg; Mrs. John (Mildred) LaMora, Winthrop; Mrs. Clifford (Martha) Oakes and Mrs. Frank (Hazel) Chase, Norwood. Five sons, Floyd and William Forrest of Massena; Howard Forrest of Norwood; Edward Forrest of Parishville, and Kenneth Forrest of Madrid, also survive.
