POTSDAM--The funeral for Marion Raymond Olds, 90, United Helpers Canton Nursing Home, formerly of Potsdam, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Russell Clark officiating. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Mrs. Olds died Thursday morning in Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. She was a private-duty nurse in Potsdam and a registered nurse at Potsdam Hospital until her retirement. Born May 7, 1910, in Norfolk, a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Fenton Raymond, she was a graduate of St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center School of Nursing, Ogdensburg, and served a one-year residency at Bellevue Hospital, New York City. She married Fred M. Olds on Sept. 10, 1936, in Moira. He died Oct. 9, 1984. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, a past matron of Vega Chapter 98, Order of the Eastern Star and past preswident of St. Lawrence County Retired Nurses Association. Surviving are a stepson, Robert Olds, Central Square; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Olds, Phoenix, N.Y.; a grandson, two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and a niece. A son, Raymond J., died June 20, 1991. Donations may be made to Canton-Potsdam Hospital Memorial Fund, Potrsdam Animal Shelter or Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad.
