NORWOOD--The funeral for Nicholas Orologio Sr., 80, of 4 Prospect St., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew’s Church with Monsignor Harry K. Snow officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Orologio died Thursday morning at his home.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Buck Funeral Home.

Mr. Orologio worked for Aluminum Company of America, Massena, as a distributor in Plant 140.

He was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church and a member of Azure Mountain Hunting Club, the Rara-Paco Hunting Club, Norwood American Legion and Disabled American Veterans, Potsdam.

Born April 10, 1923, in Norwood, son of Antonio and Antonia Ciarlo Orologio, he attended Norwood schools and served from 1943 to 1945 in the Army.

He married Elizabeth Ann Spear on July 8, 1949, at St. Andrew’s rectory with the Rev. Joseph Quinn officiating.

Surviving besides his wife are a son and his wife, Nicholas Jr., and Rose, Norwood; two daughters and a son-in-law, Leslie Clark, and Nancy and James Besaw, all of Norwood; a brother, Anthony, Norwood; a sister, Mary Fiacco, Massena, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Louis and Dominic, and two sisters, Helen Marquette and Theresa Clinton (ed: Chilton), died before him.

Donations may be made to Potsdam Rescue Squad, Potsdam Animal Shelter, and American Heart Association or Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.
