WINTHROP--Veronica C. Prevost, 82, of 237 McIntyre Road, died Sunday morning at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.
Mrs. Prevost was a homemaker.
Born June 14, 1921, in Potsdam, daughter of Royal and Elmira Perry Barney, she married Ralph Prevost on July 1, 1952.
Surviving besides her husband are a son and his wife, Danforth Prevost and Judy Brown Peacock, Brasher; two daughters and their husbands, Ellen and Ray Thompson, Winthrop, and Frieda and George Fisher, Colton; a brother, Max Barney, Brasher; two sisters, Mrs. James (Eileen) Collins, Parishville, and Lila Merritt, Lake Placid, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Dale and Jerry Barney, died before her.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with the Rev. Andrew J. Amyot, pastor of the Church of the Visitation, Norfolk, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, P.O.
