Floyd L. Ramsey

Construction worker

NORWOOD--Floyd Lewis Ramsey, 84, Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Norwood, died Thursday in Bradenton Hospice House, where he had been a patient for a week.

Mr. Ramsey retired as a construction worker and carpenter.

Born Nov. 12, 1918, in Norwood, son of Charles H. and Mattie Richards Ramsey, he attended high school and served in the Navy during World War II.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, the former Letha Webster; two daughters, Pearl Ranieri, Binghamton, and Rose Ramsey, Watertown, and two sons, Paul, Sylva, N.C., and George, Atlanta, Ga.

A daughter, Betty Ledford, died before him.

A service in Norwood will be at a later date. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the National Cremation Society, Sarasota, Fla.
