Mabel W. Redmond

 

(April 15, 1919--October 11, 1997)

 

The funeral for Mabel W. Redmond, 78, of 29 Prospect Street, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Buck Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Sweeney officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Redmond died Saturday at her home. She had been in failing health.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs Redmond was a clerk in the service bureau of New York Telephone for 26 years, retiring in 1982, and was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Born April 15, 1919 in Norwood, a daughter of Charles Willard and Blance Austin, she was a 1938 graduate of Norwood High School.

She married Leon Redmond in February 1938. He died before her.

Surviving are a daughter, Judith Tyler, Ocala, Fla., and a sister, Marjory McCarthy, Norwood.
