Retired Teacher

RAYMONDVILLE--The funeral for Freida McNulty Richardson, 87, formerly of Stark Road, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raymond's Church with the Rev. Everett Denesha, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
Mrs. Richardson died Sunday evening at Highland Nursing Home, Massena, where she had been a resident since May 10, 1996.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with members of Lyra Chapter 230, Order of the Eastern Star, meeting at 7:15 p.m.
She was a homemaker and an elementary school teacher in the Johnson, Margaretville, Nedrow and Massena School districts and a substitute teacher at Norwood-Norwolk Central School.
Born Aug. 14, 1912, in Chateaugay, daughter of Fred and Martha Shepard Laramay, she married Francis J. McNulty on Dec. 2, 1950, in Norwood. He died Sept. 17, 1979. She married Lyle Richardson on Nov. 28, 1985.
She was a communicant of St. Raymond's Church and a member of Lyra Chapter 230, Order of the Eastern Star, Norwood, where she was a past matron, and the American Association of University Women. She was a founder of LIFT (Living with Inspiration, Friendshiop and Thanksgiving) for Widows and Widowers, sponsored by the AAUW.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Patrick McNulty, Raymondville; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Suzanne) Murray, Raymondville; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Ann) Myers, West Oneonta, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
