NORWOOD--The funeral for Gerald L. Smith, 49, of 26 Mechanic St., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Norwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Jones officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Smith died Wednesday afternoon as a result of injuries suffered in an accident at Hoosier Magnetics Manufacturing Co., Ogdensburg, where he worked as a millwright.

Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born Feb. 8, 1954, in Sayre, Pa., son of Bernard "Marshall" and Pauline Cook Smith.

He married Kathleen Maxin on April 20, 1985.

Surviving besides his wife and parents of Norwood are a daughter, Rachael, at home; two stepdaughters, Ann LaFleur, Raymondville, and Teresa Palmer, Norwood, and a brother, Brian, Sinclairville.

Donations may be made to Norwood United Methodist Church.
