Retired Clarkson Employee
(April 10, 1920--April 10, 1999)
NORWOOD--Earl Clarence Tebo, 79, Mayfield Apartments, Potsdam, formerly of River Street, died Saturday morning at Massena Memorial Hospital. In 1998, Mr. Tebo retired as a maintenance man from Clarkson University, Potsdam, following 15 years of service. He previously was employed at the Norfolk Paper Mill for 25 years. He was also a self-employed carpenter, paper-hanger, painter and small-engine repairman, and enjoyed automobiles, animals and roller-skating. He was born April 10, 1920, in Norwood, a son of Clarence and Emma Fefee Tebo. He married Anna R. Jandrew on April 9, 1944, at St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. A.J. Farrell officiating. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Earl "Sam" Jr., Rochester, and Thomas, Massena; five daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Emily) Tominovich, Hillsdale, N.J., Anna Crump, Norwood, Mrs. Steven (Bonnie) Procopio, Rochester, Cheryl Woodward, Massena, and Mrs. Scott (Linda) Dafoe, Norwood; two sisters, Gwendolyn Warren, Potsdam, and Yvonne Halversen, Norfolk; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son, Timothy, died before him. Two sisters died at birth. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Phillip's Church with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Buck Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the St. Lawrence County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Potsdam or Massena.
