Walter M. Wake

Retired Alcoa Inspector

NORWOOD--Walter M. Wake, 78, of 2 Walnut St., died Friday morning at his home.

Mr. Wake was employed at Aluminum Company of America, Massena, from October 1941 until his retirement in 1974 as an inspector.

Born Nov. 29, 1922, in Norwood, son of Walter H. and Carrie Casselman Wake, he was an Army veteran of World War II.

He married Gladys Vice on Nov. 17, 1978. Mrs. Wake died Feb. 23, 1986.

Surviving are two nieces, Margo Taylor, Parishville, and Donna Richards, Norwood, and three nephews, Edward Richards Jr., Clinton, Mass., Louis Fiacco Jr., West virginia, and Richard Fiacco, Rochester.

Two sisters, Donna Fiacco and Doris Richards, and a niece, Christine Bosjolie, died before him.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the family home with the Rev. Linda Harris, pastor of Norwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 2 p.m. today until the time of the funeral at the family home.

Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.

Donations may be made to St. Lawrence Valley Hospice.
