Death of Norwood veteran
(1842-1907)
Charles J. Worthing died at his home on Park street Thursday afternoon, at the age of 65 years. He suffered a paralytic shock last October and had since been an invalid. He was a charter member of Luther Priest post No 167, G.A.R., having served three years in the Civil war. Mr. Worthing is survived by a widow and three children, William of Clarksburg, W. Va., and Frederick and Harry of this place. The funeral was held from his late residence Sunday afternoon. The G.A.R. post attended in a body. The Rev. G. H. Williams officiated. Interment was made at Riverside cemetery.
